## Who it is for

Family Rhythm is designed for people who want more intentional connection with children, teens, partners, grandparents, adult relatives, blended families, multigenerational families, and chosen family. One app holder privately manages the people and journal on their iPhone.

## How it works

1. Add people one at a time with optional photos, birthdays, interests, and a rhythm the user wants to share.
2. The living rings bring one person into focus without public scores or competitive streaks.
3. Choose a rotating suggestion or write a custom question, activity, or moment.
4. Log what happened with an optional note or photo.
5. The person's visual position responds as moments are recorded, and the memory appears in the journal.

## Journal and photos

The journal can include spontaneous moments, a child's thought, the app holder's memory, repeated family rituals, and optional photos. Data stays on the iPhone by default. Family Rhythm does not operate a family photo server.

Family Plus can create, list, restore, and delete backups in the user's private iCloud database. Restoring replaces the current local journal. If iCloud storage is full or unavailable, the local journal remains on the iPhone and the app reports that backup could not be completed.

## Activities

The free version includes 25 rotating starter activities. Suggestions rotate across questions, activities, care, and repair. Users can write their own question or activity when a suggestion does not fit.

Family Plus includes all 15 current image-led activity packs. Packs are designed for different ages, relationships, seasons, and situations. Individual packs are permanent in-app purchases. Family Plus also includes favourites, remembered regular moments, adaptive suggestions, Rhythm Drops, and private iCloud Family Backup.

## Apple Watch

The Apple Watch companion shows today's person and warm step. It can log a quick moment such as a hug, call, question, prayer, or play. The iPhone app receives and saves the moment, and the Watch provides a confirmation haptic or status.

## Free and paid versions

Free includes guided setup, photo-led connection rings, quick moment logging, local memories, 25 rotating starter activities, and Apple Watch support. Family Plus is optional and is offered monthly or annually. Apple displays the current local price, trial eligibility, renewal terms, and Family Sharing availability before purchase.

## Privacy

- No Family Rhythm account is required.
- No public family feed or public profiles.
- No third-party advertising trackers in the current app.
- Notes, people, memories, and photos stay local by default.
- Optional backup uses the user's private iCloud database.
- Support requests are submitted through CodexCaptain. Users should not include private journal entries or children's full names in support tickets.

## What Family Rhythm is not

Family Rhythm is not a child location tracker, shared calendar, chore manager, co-parenting messenger, couples counter, or public shared journal. It does not currently support shared cloud editing between multiple family members. Do not claim Google Drive backup, a Family Rhythm photo server, or scientific certainty about activity outcomes.
